Good question but nobody seems to know. We've been waiting months.

The target date rumored back in June for At&t was September but we'll wait and see.

I checked some very inside connections and was told, "No idea."

I am hearing credible speculation that the 4.5 release may become a 4.6 release, since that's working so well for the Bold.

But none of this is official, just interesting.

This is a possibility, but I doubt it very seriously. There could be some problems in the branch. I think we will see some official version of 4.5 for older models before any 4.6. And 4.6 isn't guaranteed to happen regardless.

I've been wondering myself. Refused to download a beta version at first but I'm seriously considering doing so now. Sigh.

I am running the .55 right now. It works fine, much better then 4.2. Maybe you should upgrade, considering how long its taking to come out with the official.

I am also anxiously awaiting an official release. I only got my BB a month ago and am not interested in doing anything to void my waranty or interfere with my BB's day to day function.

On the other hand youtube, improved media player, improved browser, etc, all sound really great, darnit.

Well, the newer builds(.69) or any of the .6* betas are quite stable. Nor in most cases(9 times out of 10) would it affect day to day function of your device. Although yes technically, it would void your warranty. So if thats a biggie on your list, I would refrain from upgrading. There is really NO difference between .69 & .78 except for a few minor bugs that most users never come across day to day. Don't fear though, an Official release isn't too far away.

Yep. I'm on the Romanian .55. If anyone has the .69 or even better the .78, please pm me with the links if possible. I googled it but can't find it anywhere. Thanks!
