official .148 and hybrid

might be a dumb question but need some clarification on this.. so before i had the .148 5.0 hybrid running on my storm...i just updated to .148 to see how it runs well of course it has the wireless upgrade and voice dialing and other crap like that...i shrunk my os with the hybrid and got rid of all that stuff i dont use and take up memory...if i keep the upgrade and want to install the hybrid and keep the official with it...is it gonna install the leaked on there anyway?? and is there a difference between the leaked and official? so it wouldn't matter what i do with the hybrid??? aslong as i have .148 installed with it? you would think the leaked and official would be slightly different considering how picky vzw is right?

any help is greatly appreciated!!!

THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE LEAK AND THE OFFICIAL!!!!

cant answer that since all phones act a little different with different apps and such. I think for me they run the same but i do like some of the features of the 5.0 files so i have the hybrid installed.

I'd recommend lyricidal's Hybrid over the official .148 any day. I ran the Leaked .148 for a few days and have been running the .148/5.0 hybrid for the last few days and it's head an shoulders above the .148 alone.

I really like the browser speed and such. There are some other nice enhancements that i think .148 actually has no also with the highlighting of fields and buttons. Some of the fonts look nice too

The .148/5.0 hybrid uses parts of the .148 OS and some from leaked 5.0 OS ( for the Bold I believe). No matter what you have on your Storm now, if you install the .148/5.0 hybrid everything in the .148 OS on your Storm now will be wiped off and the combination of .148/5.0 files will be installed by the Hybrid installer.

The cool thing is you can delete unwanted apps using the Shrink a OS
utility that comes with the hybrid installer. Of course you can do that with the Official .148 as well if you download the Shrink a OS utility.

so basically if i have the leaked or the official its not gonna matter cause im doing the hybrid anyway

my device got a little funky w the hybrid after 2 days, began leaking memory faster (no games OR themes) and imdb locked up the browser (no matter what configuration it had). Phone has run VERY nice on shrunken leaked .148 for nearly 3 days now. (nearly 3 days with NO battery pulls versus uncountable pulls with the hybrid)

I will try the official to SEE FOR MYSELF. Because the endless asking/answering of the same questions (with building ANGER) and the endless insistence of "experts" (whether you are or not you make yourself look bad) that they are right is quite annoying.

Despite that I find these forums to be very helpful! Thank you very much!
