No vibrate on 6.0.0.380 leak 9700?
Hey, I upgraded to the recently leaked OS 6 6.0.0.380 today and I'm loving it but I have two main issues:
1. When I get a message or any notification, the phone will not vibrate. It wont even vibrate when I go to profiles and test it. Anyone else have this issue?
2. This second one isn't really a huge issue, but when I press the lock button all it does is dim the screen and lock the keypad. On OS5 it would lock the phone and when I pressed any button it would let me unlock it using my password. On this it just un-dims when I hold the lock button.
I'm new to the forums so any help would be greatly appreciated!
Also, when I go to App World it says i have 42mb left in the top right corner, is that a bad thing? How do I get more memory?
P.S. I have BeBuzz installed if that may affect the vibrate...Last edited by mikey331; 12-07-2010 at 07:13 PM.

Well this is weird, the vibrate is there, because when I go to Phone setting under profiles and test it, the vibrate works but for messaging it doesn't... very odd.

Vibrate is working for for me with Berry Buzz.
Check your settings there maybe something amiss.
As for 42mb left think you need to Shrink it or look through this forum for which COD's are safe to remove as I have 114mb free.

The LOCK KEY functionality was taken off in the later versions of OS 5 itself (for whatever reason) by RIM.
The other way to do quick lock now is, Alt+Enter.
Just make sure that you haven't assigned this shortcut to 'quick switch' language.
If you have, then go to Options > Typing and Input > Language
Scroll to Language Switcher.
Shortcut Keys:
Change it from Alt+Enter to Shift+Space (if you need it) or to none. - 12-08-2010, 05:37 PM

In BBuzz, vibrate needs to be turned off and then in profiles, vibrate needs to be turned on as needed. (If vibrate is set to 'on' in BBuzz, the device will still vibrate when the "All Alerts Off" profile is active.)
