Unfortunately RIM is still working on the MAC desktop app so you need to either run on a Virtual Machine with Windows or find someone with a widnows machine you can use.

I was downloading the 132 leak from .75. While doing so, I noticed my computer adapter was unplugged (probably by my kids playing in the area). Anyway, my computer shut off while it was mid way through this process. I have tried unsuccessfully to restore to at least the previous OS. It is just in a white LED screen with small font "app error 205" and highlighted beneath that is "Reset." I have tried to re-boot my phone but nothing is happening. Same LED screen with the above text. What can I do to get my phone to work again? PLEASE HELP!

I followed the directions twice.
-deleted all OS from my computer
-downloaded and installed .132 (b/c i was on .141 before)
-ran the hybrid loader
-shrunk the OS (got rid of sample pics, vznavigator, etc.)
-ran loader, which seemed to work great.
-phone restarted a few times.

That said, i don't feel like the phone has gone through the Enterprise Activation process...... and based on the platform, doesnt seem like it worked properly. That said, the sample pics are gone, so something worked...

Any thoughts/ideas would be great. don't really feel like going through this whole thing again. Thanks

Same thing with me. It says that I am still on the .162 platform. But there are some 5.0 in my modules. That being said, my phone is running AWESOME. It is 100% better than it has ever been. I also just loaded the new updated AppleBerry Glass and that is running beautifully as well. I'm not really complaining or upset that I am still on .162 since my phone is running so well, I just want to know what I did wrong as I followed the directions perfectly. I would also like to know if the .174 platform would make it even better!

Options. Advanced options. Applications. BB button. Modules. Look for 5.0.0.93 modules.

So does hybridizing the OSes (or selectively choosing the files) increase battery life, or does it just make the Storm run more smoothly?

It can do many things. The only way to really know how it will affect your phone is to try if out. But also see what others think.

Hello all,
I have been reading a lot on the forums for a couple days now. I will become the owner of a Storm this afternoon and I have been learning all about these hybrid OS'.

One of the apps I was interested in was the QuickLaunch App but the comments on it say that the hybrid OS' do not allow this app to work. Is this true?

I'm going to use it for a while with the stock OS and see how it works and feels and just try it out. If I am as unhappy as many people on this site I will download a hybrid OS. Thanks for any help in advance.
