Mobile Hotspot option disappeared!

I have 9900 and i installed the first leaked 7.1 OS and that time i had my mobile hotspot at connections menu and after two weeks its suddenly disappeared and than downgraded to 7.0.

Right now i upgraded again to 7.1.205 and still there is no mobile hotspot

Could you please help?

Sounds like you carrier is blocking it.

but it blocked after several weeks, how can i understand if they are blocking or not ??

Try reinstalling without letting the phone connect to you carrier, remove the sim card if necessary. After installation check if mobile hotspot is there, it should be, then put the sim card and connect to your carrier if disappears is your carrier blocking it.

If you have ATT and don't have hotspot plan you won't see it. It is blocked by the carrier. It may apply to other carriers also. Is been discussed on other forums.

I am having the exact same issue with my 9930 blackberry and Verizon service.. After talking with Verizon the service has not been turned off at all. Battery was pulled and still no icon.. Hope this is a known issue and a patch is released..

I just had the same problem... 9850 running 267. worked fine for a couple weeks, then today the option to turn on hotspot disappeared... Is it because I'm using a Sprint OS on VZW network?

I think its just Verizon. I also had the spot to turn it on thru my manage connections screen but it has now disappeared. I'm sure it has to do with that i don't subscribe to the feature so verizon removed the section. Everything else is working fine.
