Guess I'll have to wait until I get home. Link doesn't open on my PB.

Currently loaded (on 9850), data restored, apps all running and waiting on 3rd reboot to see how it performs after it settles in. So far no issues. Installed without any trouble. Will post more after I've actually used the phone for a bit. So far only made a call or two and sent a text.
As of right now, seems to be fine. - 04-20-2012, 05:29 PM #11
Fast mirror, fast, no waiting.

Feeling a little like Charlie Brown when Lucy offers to let him kick the football
But I loaded it last night. Too early to tell, but the memory leak (especially with beweather) seems decreased. Will know better by end of day, and best in a few days. Otherwise, typing lag in some situations seems less, all apps working.Last edited by mundo472; 04-21-2012 at 08:21 AM.

Been using this for about a day now and noticed a big improvement in overall performace, (apps, browser, swiping and scrolling through menus and homescreen etc). I've never had the problem with the media player other than the audio quality sounding a bit "digital" when going from the bbmusic app to the media player, but after an update to bbmusic the problem went away. Battery life is good with moderate usage, and may have finally leveled off to get at least a days worth of charge (off charger at 6am. Drops to about 85% by 3pm after a few texts, some web browsing, Facebook, and sending a couple emails) while still keeping it quick and responsive. Signal strength seems to be greatly improved (set to 1x, automatic). I must say, including this one, the last 2 leaks have been far more solid than the official release. I tried the official .342 for a few days and was not impressed, so i downgraded back to .340. Very pleased with .402 thus far. OS7.2 around the corner?

RIM is counting on the OS 7 users for its BB10 phone sales. They need to get OS 7 to the point where it is stable. Right now no version is what I would call stable.
This seems to be an issue with OS 7 and OS 2 for the PB.
Can RIM not produce a stable OS?
Thor buddy,,what gives?

This is the most "stable" release I've tried to date (and I've installed every leaked\official OS since the 9850 came out. There hasn't been one that I'd consider to be "unstable", as in would render the phone useless, but that's just in my experience. Seems like they're trying out different things as they go along, singling out the most common bugs and working them out one-by-one. Regardless, the new releases are on track. Can't wait for BB10, ftw!

Any other experiences people willing to report?

Doesn't seem this leak has anything to offer in the way of improvements or additions.
What is clear is either no one owns this phone and the ones that do not post much about it.

I just installed the leak. Wiped the phone first. Went well. I'll report back in a few days with my opinion.

What would your definition of "stable" be? Because I've had little to no problem with any of the OS 7.1 releases on my phone. The battery life has been pretty good, the responsiveness of the phone has been good, memory leaks haven't been a problem, and pretty much everything I can think of aside from maybe a couple minor bug works exactly the way it is supposed to.
I don't know about you but from my definition of stable, 7.1 is pretty stable. - 04-22-2012, 09:58 PM #25
FYI / I always download via my BB to the memory card, faster than the file download on computer ...
So much better.. No memory leak, battery lasts all day on heavy use, and no longer freezes on me
