What makes you think it's disabled? I can switch mine on but have no means of testing it

I was running 247 did not use 336 (?) But am now on 402. I am unhappy with the following: severe battery drain. Does not last at all if using phone and barely lasts half a day if not using @ all.

Am on 3 UK (H3G) and cannot keep a BIS signal at all. I can only get BIS on wifi. I have to keep phone plugged in @ home to use it. I had better battery life on 247 even though it was roasting hot and kept freezing up. Am not getting freezing as much which is brilliant, but the lack of BIS out and about is frustrating. If I turn off the mobile network and back again I get it briefly. I did have a text from 3 to say they are upgrading network in my area and I could experience probs, but have not had network coverage issues: only BIS. Without it I cannot do anything or contact anyone. It is very frustrating

False battery temp reading, battery cannot be charged until 100%, always stuck at 94% and battery drain level is awful.

I've installed .402. uninstalled it, re-installed it. Uninstalled it once more, use .336 then after a few days reinstalled .402; all with the same result. This one leak just isn't going along well with my phone.

Going back to .336 and everything's fine...

Hi there,

I managed to download the file, but am really scared to do the wipe with that other programme cos so many people reported problems with it. Do I need to wipe the phone to do the downgrade? Has anyone else had problems with BIS on the mobile network on 402 or is it a 3 problem?

I am actually quite a techy person and have been beta testing software for over 12 years. I am just a bit worried about bricking my bold by wiping it clean.

Can someone talk me through how they downgraded their bolds and if they encountered any problems doing it. Sorry for being such a noob. Or shoudl I just keep 402 and hope for another upgrade at some point?

I use bb 9790 os 7.1.0.402 for a month, so far I notice, I can't pairing bluetooth with other device,n always dc when I made this phone as modem.. Any new os version?
