I noticed that when I finished installing it. that my application memory is down to 170.2mb and after 3 consecutive battery pulls it went up to 185.6mb (WOW).
I complain about the sluggishness on the crackberry forums mobile site on .190. in .205 its slighty improved but still sluggish.
still checking out the battery. scrolling thru panels is snappy. mobile hotspot is still there and still works on Globe Telecom(Philippines).Follow me on Twitter: @itsmetakuma089

Interesting to see these leaks back to back like this. I'm going to wait on the few people that are doing their "settle in period"... witch could be sped up simply by doing several batt pulls....also...batt life will need a day or two comparison.
Lets see how SOPA will stop these leaks...and how it will effect what we do...Last edited by Morpheus; 01-19-2012 at 05:19 AM.
911 takes too long, a squeeze of the trigger will solve the problem...and I can save minutes...when seconds count...

On my Telus Torch, I've never had an issue with changing my network mode, so that may be a carrier limitation... Maybe AT&T needs to update something on their end to be compatible.
With regards to Telus and other carriers and wifi calling, that requires that the carrier has the right service books. Right now Telus doesn't, although it was my understanding from an internal document I saw that we should get it (likely after 7.1 goes official for the carrier).
As to memory, so far so good after a few battery pulls, but we'll have to see as its really too early still. Very early battery life info is very positive... I'm looking forward to checking how it does over the day, but initial rates are good (2.3%/h with some usage).
Will post more later.

For some reason, AT&T has specifically asked RIM to disable the ability to manually switch to 2G; I recall reading the discussion on that in the 9700 forums. The OS looks at the vendor number hard coded into each phone to enable/disable this feature; so a Rogers phone running on AT&T with the exact same model, OS, etc., will have the option to switch to EDGE manually, but the AT&T phone will not have the option.
However, IIRC, a later OS brought the ability back.Klotar

Don't worry about early Batt Drain... do lots of battery pulls and give it a few days.
Mine was just starting to get good on 7.1.0.190 and now i need to start over. What i have noticed is, i believe i am down about 50mb on memory i remember being around 150mb and now at 100mb and i shrunk both down before installing, i have lots of apps and game though so not too worried.
I too am a believer in Facebook and the Social feeds taking lots of battery. I turn off all notifications and it seems to be way better.
Browser feels smoother and more fluid although still not perfect.
Waiting to play with this for a bit before adding more findings. - 01-19-2012, 03:10 PM #45
Well I'll give it a try ..
I noticed in 7.1.0.190 app memory was 170 after batt pul I became 184 ..
In .205 didn't change downloaded some new apps and games and its 148 now
Not worried about that part to .
Facebook and twitter refresh n baclground every one hour ..
I'm a heavy bbm user ..
And yea I find this software is smoother than .190
I'll give it a days a lot a lot of days cuz I'm never think of downgrade
Waiting always for new update

So far I'm noticing the standard memory drain. I'm down 48MB in 20 hours.
Battery life started out looking good yesterday, but after a day of use, I barely made it through the work day with moderate use. But, its still been slightly better than .190.
Beyond that, things have been fine.
