Mind you I'm on AT&T, so I have neither of them, but my understanding is with UMA, the phone switches to the phone network when you lose wi-fi. With wi-fi only, it just drops the call when out of range. I could be wrong, if so, please correct me.

Thanks.

Meaning your device can only connect to the 4G network?

Mecca - do you think that perhaps this OS provides "automatic" switching to 2G/3G is the signal is poor (even though you can not manually switch it)?

Just went from 585 to 583(At&T) 2 days ago. Loading this build on now, almost done #Excited. Hoping for even better battery life with 7.1

I'm happier than a tick on a bloodhound!!! I'll have to agree with your theory, because it's the only thing that makes logical sense. Still, I hate not having control of that. They should have asked 1st.

Well, the option is gone. Probably means it will downgrade automatically in poor signal areas.

If this was an ATT release - my theory would be they saw no need to worry about bas signal because at the time of release, they were counting on all those extra towers from buying T-Mobile!!!

Now that make ALOT of sense. I still feel that the merger will happen. And if this is in fact an ATT release, what a freaking start!!! Even more supportive evidence is T-Mob isn't selling the 9810 anymore. Hmmmmmm

I had a similar thought when I heard about TMOB dropping the 9810 - although, the word is that the merger is totally dead. The other reason TMOB dropped the 9810 could be because at the stupidly high price they were charging ($250K), anyone wanting the 9810was going to AT&T . . .

On another note - have you found any apps that do not work on this new leak?
