I was about to install the official .353 OS when I saw the post on the Crackberry homepage. Should I go ahead and install .353 anyway? Has anyone installed this leak? Please let me know if I should install this or stick with installing the official one!

wtf... I am doing something wrong? I downloaded and installed the leak, deleted vendor.xml, opened loader.exe and it tells me my device is up to date.
This is my first time doing this on an OS7 device. Last time I updated was on my Storm2 and this was the procedure I used. Has something changed? What am I doing wrong?BlackBerry Z10 - 10-07-2011, 11:44 AM #8
I just did it through DM. I'm not used to loading leaks this way. I've always used the apploader. I guess things have changed since DM 5, OS5 and my Storm2.

Some people have been finding that there's another Vendor.xml file in a separate folder in C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion. I can't recall the exact specific folder as I don't have the extra file right now. Just do a search in your User folders for it and you should find the extra Vendor.xml file. Delete that and you should be good to go.

I see no real difference in this leak to the stock build that shipped with my 9860. I was hoping that hotspot would be in this build.

Install this leaked OS .440 over .353 on 9860. I am seeing marked improvement in touch interface and more stable. Typing has been now more comfortable on suretype keypad as tapping has been reset in the middle of the key. Previously, it was at the lower portion of the key, so typing use to result many mistakes.
Battery drainage is too early to comment.Prithvi (pin:24c7dba9)

A little off-topic, this location may be slightly different for different windows versions.
This "Everything" is a very fast and useful tool to quickly search for filenames in ALL locations:

Yeah, this OS does not include the mobile hotspot. From what I've been told and read, it looks like that functionality will only come in November at the earliest (assuming it is coming - still not 100% guaranteed).
But one definite improvement is that the OS now reports the correct download sizes rather than ~doubling it while downloading.
