Leaked OS 7.0.0.353 for the BlackBerry Torch 9860
Got that new Torch 9850 or 9860? If the last leaked OS wasn’t too kind on your 9850 9860, find happiness to know OS 7.0.0.353 has dropped. No word on the changes found in this build. However, it is the first OS package to be across the board for all OS 7 devices currently on the market. Make sure to backup before you load up.

Thanks rroyy,
I just got a 9860 and it came with 261 which is the the latest official for my carrier (Bell).
I also noticed Vodaphone has 296 official, but if I'm not using my carrier's I might as well use a leak... any feedback on this one?
I will be switching all my stuff to this phone tonight and want to put whatever latest I can befroe doing it as it is always a pain to reconfigure and reload all apps after an OS upgrade...
Any feedback appreciated.

I can't seem to get it to update.
Installed os software.
Delete Vendor.xml from c:\program files\common\research in motion\loader and when i launch Desktop manager it can't find an update?--- Sent From Mobile Device While on the Can! --- - 09-07-2011, 09:38 PM #6

Going to try again from home.--- Sent From Mobile Device While on the Can! --- - 09-07-2011, 10:29 PM #7
Wierd.
Worked from home without any issues.
Pretty neat that after the reload its resyncing with the bes server without an input needed on either end.--- Sent From Mobile Device While on the Can! --- - 09-07-2011, 10:36 PM #8
So far it appears to be really fast at switch from portrait to landscape in the dock, browser and email.

So does this work fine on a 9850 (Verizon)? I'm going to give it a try.
edit: Ok, it looks like there is a separate one for the 9850, but I can't seem to find a valid source. I'll just go with the latest from Sprint for now, since the 9860 one is probably not a good idea to try.

Please help
Could someone please help me download the leak!!! I've been trying to install it for 3 days now!!!
I installed the leak on my computer and it says here that I should delete the vendor.xml file found in AppLoader, the problem is there is no folder called AppLoader in the Research In Motion folder but the following folders only.
1)Blackberry
2)Blackberry Desktop
3)Blackberry Media Sync
I tried installing it in another computer that has no Desktop Manager. When I try to run Desktop Manager I get "file name" is not a valid win32 application". The funny thing is I installed the leak on this computer and there is an AppLoader folder, I deleted the vendor.xml file but because Desktop Manager doesn't run I won't be able to install the leak on my device using this computer also.
Is there a way I can install the leak using a Mac (my third and final option)? Maybe I'll have more luck with a Mac laptop?
Out of curiosity, do I need the latest version of Blackberry Desktop Manager for this?Last edited by Ammunet91; 09-13-2011 at 09:12 AM.

Desktop Manager doesn't work so is it safe to install the leak on my device via Loader (I think that's what it's called) found in the AppLoader folder. It's the one that has an icon of a phone. Please I need someone to reply.

Updated mine (Telus) on the weekend and already notice much better battery life, off at 7am now 9pm and still 35% left with lots of emails, BBM, Voice, and music! Med to heavy usage. if this keeps up i am a happy camper with .353
BTW i came from .261 - 09-24-2011, 05:46 AM #15
The official OS just got released and I have a question. My service provider don't have it yet for download. So can I download it from any other international service provider or does it have to be authorized by my carrier? I went to Crackberry's Latest OS page and when I clicked on download v.7.0.0.353 I got Software Download for Chunghwa Telecom. Can I download it from there?
