Downloaded and installed the new os without any difficulties !

Was running .350 previously ! My phone seems to be running faster and there is an improvement in battery life ! But again will have to wait a day to see how it performs !!

Overall, satisfied with this leak !

Don't seem to have any problem with it ! Mp3, videos, pictures, everything seem to be running faster !

    Hope this helps !

Did the switch from .448 to .486. Played with it a bit (about 1hr) but I am changing back to .448. My Torch was sooooo sllooooowwww. Even if I lowered all the settings for the touchscreen, I still had to use the trackball to open any apps. I did a few battery pulls but I am not convinced.

This is the worst OS I've loaded since I've had my Torch.

    1. Pinch zoom doesn't work for me in my pictures file.
    2. Quicklaunch Autofill doesn't work in the browser. (this worked in .448 but not in .450)
    3. My theme settings are not retained after a reboot

    Backup, install, restore issues:

    1. Theme settings still won't backup (this hasn't worked in the last several OS's I've used.
    2. "Word Substitutions" database backed up fine but would not restore. I lost my custom autotext entries. They're still in the backup file but the file won't restore properly.

I wouldn't recommend this to anyone who is using .448. I'm really wishing I hadn't have upgraded. I could downgrade but last time I did that it turned into a bigger disaster as some 3rd party apps didn't like it and I had to end up wiping the device and starting over from scratch.

Pinch/Zoom work just fine for me! You might want to check your touch screen settings.
5 hours on this build and all is very good for me.

Haven't had any problems with this OS, although I did load it up with BDHP 6.1. Everything seems a lot faster and haven't noticed any bugs/glitches or anything.

I updated to 486 and found the word 'dummy' typed in the notes section of all my contacts.

.486 loaded. Thanks Roy. Loaded with no problem. Device so fast now that I just have to think what I want done and the phone does it. Ok, slight tall tale but you get the idea. No lag at all and the sound appears louder. Overall, very satisfied. Haven't taken any photo yet so will have to let you all know how that goes.

.450 was better than .448 so I would say yes... 448 was really buggie or at least I thought so.

I feel that I need to respond to some of the "weird" posts. I am not questioning that you have "dummy" in your contacts, but I can assure you that I do not have it in any of my contact's notes. I have never heard of this before and it would be hard to figure why an OS update would do this.

Actually, he is not a troll. It happened to me. Just downgraded back to .337 since 486 added "Dummy" to all my contacts too.

WS.Reputation.1 is a detection for files that have a low reputation score based on analyzing data from Symantec’s community of users and therefore are likely to be security risks. Detections of this type are based on Symantec’s reputation-based security technology. Because this detection is based on a reputation score, it does not represent a specific class of threat like adware or spyware, but instead applies to all threat categories.

The reputation-based system uses "the wisdom of crowds" (Symantec’s tens of millions of end users) connected to cloud-based intelligence to compute a reputation score for an application, and in the process identify malicious software in an entirely new way beyond traditional signatures and behavior-based detection techniques.

The installer isn't digitally signed by RIM.

This is the first leak I ever seen where the installer wasn't signed. That leads me to two possible conclusions.

    1. RIM forgot to digitally sign this build (unlikely)
    2. The installer was tempered with and the signature was removed (more likely).

This is why I do not recommend that you install this leak until we get a proper, signed, installer package.
i believe this is digitally signed and approved by Jared Co
here are my findings though after 2 days. coming from a 6.0.0.450
the Browser is faster, same thing with the picture views, no lag at all as in NONE.
    battery life seems the same.

As many have stated, I notice 2 things coming from .450:

    1. No more picture lag.....they load much faster.

    2. Browser does seem a bit faster.

Everything else seems about the same as .450, no new bugs or performance issues at all. It was worth the upgrade for me.

    Default .448 has dummy too.

I upgraded to .448 last week and I have dummy in my comments for all my contacts also. Either this dates back before .486 or all my friends are dummies.

Nice. The BDHP 6.1 and .450 was a great combo and I was gonna ask if anyone loaded it with BDHP. Looks like I will be installing this after dinner.

Having some serious memory leaks issues with .486, checked my app memory a moment ago and saw 227mb, I've never yet seen it below 292 on my phone with any previous os. Also it takes forever to load contacts bbm pic at times, rather annoying I will prob go back to .450
