I just installed this leak. It seams to work good on att network. Only thing that is missing is the att app center. I am going to try and fiqure out how to get that back on. Other than that it is great.

Sure would be nice, but probably not. Watching the thread of the 9700 folks who got a day's head start (plus way larger user base), I'm too nervous to even try. A whole host of problems crops up, for very little upside of OS6. All my 9100 apps are working right now, and I'm sure that would change if I went to OS6, just to have a different web browsing experience and different menus to get used to. Just not worth the hassle to even try...

Just installed it and have been playing around with it. no issues faced thus far other than having to re-install weather-eye. all settings and apps transferred over just fine. Haven't used GPS much.

Made a backup, installed OS6, restored and BBM didn't work anymore. Also my contacts can't be restored so I'm trying a fresh install now.

Thumbs up Working Like A Charm!!

Well been up all night playing with OS 6 and it really floats my boat got the GPS sorted out only took two battery pulls, but Google maps is working as well as black star. really loving the OS didn't experience any problems when installing all my apps are working with the exception of brick breaker, OS is more streamlined, liking the cut and paste instead of moving files, but the not having the full menu open with the blackberry key is really strange, free application space was almost halved it moved from 122.6 MB on OS 5 latest version to 66 MB when OS 6 was installed, the phone seems a bit more sluggish and takes longer to boot from a battery pull which i am not liking as one of the things i loved about the phone was how fast it came to an operational state after a battery pull, however the new features, browser and look and feel of the OS out weigh the negatives for me, in my opinion its worth the upgrade.

Did you use the elaborate method or just quick and dirty DM method?

Default Ok this is what I did ...

I installed the latest and greatest DM from the BB website. Removed the old .972 OS from my XP with SP3 laptop, and installed the .344 leak.

The thing is the DM picked up the OS as an upgrade, backed up everything and re-loaded my back up no issue,

    Apps:
    FB 1.9
    T4BB
    WP4BB
    4Sq
    Google maps
    LinkedIn
    AppWorld
    Docs2Go full
    PDF2Go full
    Viigo for 9700 version installed

Anything else, is on the screenies.

Two places to look for memory left:

    and

Everything works, was as easy as pie. I have not tried the top media buttons, but I am not experiencing any issues the guys over at the 9700 board are experiencing. Kudos to RIM when it is due.

@rocky: i just really like the streamlined aspect of everything. not sure if i'll use social feeds too much. it seems like a big memory hog when i compared to having it on vs off; that may just be with this leaked release though.

blackberry key - just a double click on the BB key will bring the menu up. slight change but easy to get used to

    Default working fine here

I've just installed OS 6.0 today via DM. No issues during the install. I'm really loving the interface. I can confirm as per kensuki that Brick Breaker is not working (get 'Uncaught.exception: java.lang.Error')... not a big deal for me as I don't play it. All other apps including 3rd party apps running fine with no issues (Google maps, Facebook, Poynt, Weather Channel).

One bug: the vibrate/# key (used to switch to the Vibrate profile) does not work. When you hold down # key, it now prompts to assign the # key as a speed dial. Anyone else experiencing this?

So sounds like we can just go the DM route and treat this as an OS5 leak to install. Just unzip, delete vendor file, and run DM!

@ronenberka, i'd suggest that you install a virtual machine application like vmware and parallels running windows xp or 7 and do your upgrade from there.
