Took the plunge and installed this, after shrinking it and wiping the device. It only took 12 minutes to install, and my BB "only" took 15 minutes to boot back up.

Resending service books and restoring now and will play around with it. Thank you to everyone here that posted problems/fixes!

To stop those annoying http pop ups, is the fix for that as follows:
Options - Security Options - Advanced Security Options - TLS - Allow https Redirections - YES

That seemed the most likely so I just enabled it.

Default Chrip is back.

Don't know if anyone has had this happen to them yet. It has happened to me and my wife. We both have a the Verizon 8330 with the .230 update installed. She told me this morning on the phone while I was on my way to work that she had the chrip while on the phone with a friend. About 5 mins after she told me that I had the chrip as well. Just a heads up to those of you that have Verizon. It may not have happen to you yet or may not happen at all. But it did happen to us.

Yeah, a couple of ppl have mentioned this. It probably isn't as common as it was on .169 though (hopefully).

I hope not. 169 made me what to throw my BB. In the last two days only had it happen once for me. Hopefully that will be the only time, crosses fingers.

Ya 103 pages and crackberry has a weak search option so this is probably a repeat.. Only thing i have noticed with os 5.0.0.230 on my sprint 8330 is that when i put it into my charging pod i get that stupid "Charge curent is insufficent. Install drivers blah blah blah" notice... also i only have about 11 mb of free memory now when i use to have 28-32 on OS 4.5 and the hybrids... Not really a problem because the blackberry is running faster then ever but don't want it to bottle neck when the mem hits real lows..

Are people still having problems with BB Maps using 'Maps' app?

I tried it out for the 1st time today, and it worked like a charm, it seem to have improved.

I was in my driveway and it showed the address of my location, down to the house number. (I do not remember if it did that before, I don't think so)

But anyways, BB Maps works on Bell Mobility.

I made it all the way to the applicationloader. When I try to select the new OS I get an error that I can't update my new OS because I don't have a Blackberry service subscription. I have SERO and don't use BIS or BES, is there anyone who has figured out how to get around this?! HELP!!

So, just curious...now with 5.0, what versions of apps should I be DLing? Is it cool to get the 4.7 ones or what? Sorry if it's been addressed already.
