yeah, i noticed that issue when i tried to add a new contact. cursor is nowhere near where i want it to be. had to scroll down slowly to each field. dont have the same issue on the facebook app though.
its tolerable IMO, its not like im adding contacts everyday. - 12-15-2010, 10:50 PM #33
I also have the same issue with scrolling long menus but it does not bother me that much.
One thing I would like to comment on is battery life. I've been running this leaked since it came out and from the start it was clear that for me personally it is a huge improvement. Meterberry informed me that I'm using 0.3% per hour which I was never able to obtain with any other OS.
What is your battery life like?

.418 has been pretty stable for me, except the scrolling problems are still present but it's not enough to make me switch back to OS 5 though. OS 6 has been an amazing experience so far.

BUT.
I don't know if someone else is experiencing this on their Curve 3G while running OS 6 but, sometimes my space key gets stuck and for it to work I need to press down really hard. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. I hope it's just a bug waiting to be fixed. - 12-22-2010, 07:28 AM #41
WHat about SMS,MMS issues ???? my sms takes up to 5hours to be delivered on the .344 adn how can I get OS5 back in case I Need it is not on list of previous OS on the desktop manager. DO I have to delete the previous version from add & remove programs ??

I've had .418 up and running since the day is got released and so far I've found a few issues left unresolved.
- Scrolling/Selection issues in various apps. You scroll down a list only to lose the selection highlight. I wind up having to scroll back up the list to find it. Only way to make it work seems to be going down the list again slowly. This issue is most present in the music player but I have seen it appear in most every other list from time to time.
-Some apps have cursor issues where it doesn't show up or appears only after hitting some keys.
- Occasionally when I start up the web browser and start to scroll down by accident as it’s loading my homepage it will freeze. I have to escape then re-select the browser app before it will work again.
- BBmaps has lost its "Start Navigation" option essentially neutering it's usage as a GPS replacement. It will show you where you are, give you text and map based directions to get there. But there is no way for it to follow you on the map and show you turn by turn like it did in OS 5. (This could be the prime reason for me reverting back to OS 5 if this feature isn't re-implemented as I use it a lot when I don’t have my GPS on me)
-Since Dataviz has been acquired by RIM I feel it fitting to complain about this here. The symbol key no longer works in Word to Go and I have yet to find a way to enter in those characters. (Yet another reason why I may be forced to go back to OS 5 if this doesn’t get fixed)
-For some odd reason my contacts got messed up when transferring them back to my BB after the update. City, Province, ZIP, and Country have all been condensed into the Address 1 field. Meanwhile the actual address section (House Number/Street Name) has gone missing. What confuses me the most is that I used the Desktop Manager to do this and it is the newer version that supports OS 6. As a side note, I didn’t use the newest version that was just released. So, I should probably download it and check to see if it resolves the issue.
-Still having a problem with BBmaps refusing to stay in the Favourites section. Every time I reboot I need to make it a favourite again.
- When I set the calendar to open in Agenda view it will freeze up for a second or so before it will allow me to start scrolling.
Other than that I really like OS 6 and find it a great experience both visually and in usability. But, as I stated above two issues may make me want to revert.
Hopefully before the New Year there will be another leak with these issues fixed. But, I wouldn’t complain if one of the programmers at RIM put on a Santa Hat and leaked another ROM for us to try out while sipping on some Egg Nog Christmas morning.
By the way.... Happy Holidays to everyone reading this......

Has anyone lost the send as "MMS" option from the main inbox? I installed on wife's phone and now she doesn't have that option anymore. She can receive them, and can technically send thme, but the only options she has are Text, Email, or IM. When she does Text it says switching to MMS, which accomplishes the task but wondering if I just need a fresh install or if anyone else has had this issue.
Current: 9810 running Official 7.1.0.190

I think that is the way it is on OS 6, maybe to be more "user friendly."
