Here's my short-version OS install guide before the questions come...

ELITE1's Quick OS6 UPGRADE GUIDE

(Optional) Uninstall any previous OS from your PC.
Download OS to PC. Use Internet Explorer to do so, not Firefox or Chrome. (For leaked versions, the browser is irrelevant though.)
Following successful DL, run OS file to install OS on PC.
On BB, go to BBM Options, scroll down to Backup section. Ensure Remote Backup is enabled AND also conduct a Local Backup to media card.
Go through any 3rd party apps that have option to save settings to media card, and conduct Backup to media card from menu within each of these apps. (Examples: all Bellshare apps such as BerryBuzz & BerryWeather; QuickLaunch; Shao's apps such as Wallpaper Changer & SixTools; Show Me The Images; etc).
Connect BB to PC. Open DM and backup device. Close DM.
(Optional) Use desktop program like BBSAK or BBMCP to backup 3rd party apps.
On PC, navigate to
•64-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files (x86)/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader and delete file therein called Vendor.
•32-bit: Computer/C:/Program Files/Common Files/Research In Motion/AppLoader and delete file therein called Vendor.
(Optional/Recommended) Run BB Boss or Shrink-A-OS/BBHybrids Tool.
In same AppLoader file where you deleted Vendor, double-click on Loader to initiate OS upgrade. Follow onscreen instructions.

havent loaded it yet but dont think it will fix the BBM cursor , as in the beta zone they just released 5.0.2 (cant remember the rest of the numbers) and that claims to fix it, just waiting for my key code to be resent to try it

They just released BBM 5.0.2.11 for Beta Zone.

This is a standard maintenance release, so you won’t see many new features in this build. This release provides updates to a few bug fixes:

- If you are running BlackBerry® 6.0, a cursor might not have appeared when you scrolled through previous messages in a chat

This OS leak won't fix that only the new BBM update will. I think.

I went to the beta zone site and didn't see anything for bbm ... Do you have to be notified first ?

GPS lock very rapid
Touch pad hyper reactive to touch, maybe coming up to too responsive

You mean GPS as in GPS in general or specific GPS like BB map or Google Map?

Loader failed, second try going fine so far... shrunk using BBOS non-64 bit version from 166.3MB to 66.9 MB (lil more manual shrinking used).

From what I understand, the OS is not the issue, RIM is working on an update for BBM so that the cursor issue can be alleviated...
