| | Leaked 7.1 for 9900 and others????
In regards to the “leaked” OS's… I’m sick of this scam. Really. These are there controlled leaks of the OS (if anyone else hasn’t caught on yet.) These OS builds just get dropped to us as “leaks” so RIM takes no responsibility for glitches, and "bricked devices. Rest assured they follow Crackberry and as much news as they can about the issues people are experiencing with the build and make the necessary fixes once the “official” build is released. Just give us the 9900's "leak"!

| | In all my years, I've never seen a difference between the leaked OS, and it's official release. I have seen people get in serious trouble for providing leaks, and plenty of links be shutdown by RIM. Kinda kills that theory, huh?

What kind of attitude is that? Scam? No one makes you install a leak. In fact, you have to look for it, find it, read warnings not to download and install and then go ahead and download and install it anyway. Not exactly an email from the most honorable high exalted prefect of Nigeria there, is it? I really like the way the leaks have gotten closer to official releases. Used to be that every other leak was a net loss and you'd wind up downgrading. Rarely happens these days and even with the problematic leaks, they are usually workable enough that you can hang on until a better one comes along. So keep 'em coming. so far as I'm concerned. I'd rather have the option of the bother than to have to await the glacial timing of the carriers.

Rim cannot view any blackberry forums, any employee will get fired for having a look.
Rim does not monitor Crackberry.

I just had to downgrade from 7.1.0.74 - the battery life was too short. Not to mention I almost bricked my beautiful bold trying to downgrade

All the "leaks are accidents guys" Right now we 9900 users are waiting on the 7.1 update. the "leaked" 205 update, was nothing more then an attempt at approval from Tmobile. In other words, the contents of a leaked 205 update will be exactly the same as an official. And I don't believe for one minute RIM doesn't monitor sites and forum. Why wouldn't a business monitor customer opinion.
