So I did the install and immediately began having issues. Freezing, lagging issues, the spinning clock of death constantly appearing on the screen and huge memory leak. Multiple battery pulls, and still the same issues. Not sure if it was a bad install, or just a bad OS, either way I could not downgrade soon enough. Now back on .187 and everything is smooth as it was before without any issues. Just curious if anyone else experienced similar issues???

After a disastrous install of .261 that involved lagging, freezing and major memory leak issues, I have reinstalled it without problem. One thing I noticed with OS 7 is that in addition to setting up your email account with BIS, you must log in and validate your BlackBerry ID before email and other services will operate properly. I failed to do that on the initial install of .261 which I believe caused the issues. The device was searching for the server, but not having been validated by my BBID, there was no contact, the result...substantial battery use and memory leak, spinning clock and lagging/freezing.

I'm pleased to say that after realizing my mistake i have re installed .261 and it is working like champ.

Very true, however I don't recall having to log in to my BBID to utilize email.
