Default Known issues with os 4.5.0.102

just thought I'd start a thread to see if anyone has found any issues with this build than previous builds... overall I haven't had many problems with any beta/official release I've put on my phone, but a couple of things actually came up with this one... most are easily fixed, though...

Yahoo! Go app froze up several times, couldn't exit out of it and had to do a hard reset... I removed it from my phone and re-installed OTA (loaded previously with 3rd party app backup), and now it seems to be working.

Had a lot of trouble trying to put a theme I made back onto it, because the file name for some reason wouldn't let me install... I changed the file name of it and it let me, figure that one out.

Went to back up 3rd party apps on my phone, and for some reason only the two that I had installed after I upgraded showed up, even though I deleted the other folder. haven't figured out why.
that's all I've found so far, haven't had much time to play around with it but if I find any more I'll put it here.

.93 was garbage for me. Random reboots about 3 times a day. .102 seems solid. No issues as of yet.

Upgrade to .102 was smooth and uneventful. Stable, responsive with about 3 mb more file free. Works for me!

If you go to BerryReview.com | BlackBerry News & Reviews You Can Use » you will find a link for 102. I get their daily emails and it was there. I havent had any issues with 102. I noticed that I have more memory and i love it.

.102 seems the best yet. I had a reboot when I first used bluetooth but that was the only thing.

I have to say that .102 combined with DocsToGo Premium with the new PDF reader, Google Maps, Empower Pro, BlackStar and ChronoGraph + an 8Gb Media Card is just about as perfect a phone as I could ever wish for. The native browser does all I want. YouTube works fine too. I have 24.7Mb of File Free memory.

I am a happy BlackBerry owner right now.

I bricked my 8310 when upgrading to .102 last night but I got it back on track and now loaded onto my device. I will play with it on Saturday and see how it is. I just cant put my Bold down to test my 8310.

I installed .102 and it was a smooth install and ran it on my 8310 for a day. I found the os to be pretty solid and stable. The only problem I had was that Jonathan Fisher's 3rd party app that installs web shortcuts on the BB homescreen didn't function properly. I tried uninstalling the app and resets and reinstalls and still couldn't get the app to launch the web shortcut when clicked on. I finally removed .102 and reinstalled .93 and everything works perfectly once again.

The only thing I see missing is in the browser config. Before I had internet browser, hotspot browser and mobile browser configurations. Now internet browser is missing. Anyway, it is working fine and way faster than before.

having played with it some more, it seems real solid. the browser seems faster (again could be just wishful thinking) and the main thing is how much memory is freed up... on .93 I'd do a battery pull and have about 17mb free, and at the end of the day, anywhere from 13-15mb free... now I have at LEAST 21mb free at all times. it's nice.

one minor thing I had an issue with on 93 and still have, is changing wallpapers on a theme and reverting back to the original theme's wallpaper... I have to end up switching themes, and then going back to the previous one. I'm thinking that's a plazmic issue, because I made it with the most recent version... not sure though

This version is getting close to being a releaseable product. There are a couple of things like the browser config and thre is one new feature which has been documented elsewhere on CB and that is that when you put the phone into Standby mode, the four keys on the trackball row light up the screen when pressed and display a message that the phone is in Standby.

None of the other keys work and you have to press the Mute/Standby key bring the phone out of Standby just a normal.

More memory then .81 and .93 but I still find vodaphone australias .81 is the quickest for me so far as far as speed which is what I look for the most but it was very stable.

I have had problems installing themes since I loaded OS 4.5.0.102. The themes show up as installed when i check my *applications* list but when i go into *themes* they don't show up for me to select. I have rebooted but still no luck.

i had this same problem. i had deleted some of the main bb themes
bbdimension icon, today. After i installed those back in my themes started to show again.

Did you remove any of those themes? if so put them back on and then you should be good to go

removing any dimension themes is gonna make it go haywire because it's the blueprint for other themes you'll put on your phone... learned that one the hard way.
