im scared to upgrade to .230

as of right now, my blackberry tour 9630 has been superb.. it has none of the problems that you would typically see being posted on these forums.. i mean.. it has worked flawlessly for me

however, i am 5.0 curious and sitting at the installation prompt running through the pros and cons of installing .230 (using DM) contemplating whether i should or shouldnt

so here i am, asking for your help..
convince me to go .230 by telling me why its superior to 4.7 or convince me to stay with vzw's 4.7 os by telling me bugs currently found in .230 that have no fixes (such as the rolling restarts ive been reading about, missing icons, etc.)

Pretty sure I've heard of random restarts on official OS 4.7.1, not just OS5...

ive searched before even downloading 5.0 and ive read some people's phone restarting every 3 min.

as for the os i currently have (4.7.140) no restarts yet

I upgraded to the hybrid yesterday

I really like the threaded SMS but that is about it other than little bit of optimized speed.

Few added options here and there but I really don't know why people are so hyped up about this new OS

Maybe I haven't found all the features...

Its fast...lol...most common bug is the media player, where if you play a song, first song will play all the way through, second song will play, marker will show the track time, but no sound. In order to get that song running, u have to stop, and select "play" again.

Im running .230 and it is leaps better than 4.7, I dont have a single issue with it and it well worth the upgrade. Do it, plain and simple.

and there's no current fix for that? because i use the media player alot (more than pandora) cuz i use my phone in place of an ipod when i work out lol

don't be a wussy just upgrade lol. honestly i had the media player problem in .230 on the storm. its only for the first song you get used to it after about a day of dealing with it. if thats all your worried about just give'r

Correct me if im wrong someone but i believe thats what the Hybrid does, it fixes any little bugs by placing files from previous Os's and places it on the OS you want to use...no sure if it fixed that though>

1. There are tons of threads regarding the OS and pros/cons and findings so just put in the time to read them

2. Dont be scared! Load the OS if you dont like it, guess what? You can go back!

Currently the hybrid does not fix the media player issue. I still have to stop and play for the second song
