Default Going from Hybrid OS to Official

Hello all,

I am pretty new at this and I feel like this might be a concern for many people. I am currently running Lyric's .141 hybrid and with all of the talk of a possible [God willing] official OS release, I am wondering how to go from a hybrid to an official OS? Will I have to wipe my phone and start from .75? Will I have to go to just a leak OS, not a hybrid; so go to .141 or .132? Or will I just be able to download the new OS and install without a concern?

If anyone knows how this process should work, that would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You should be able to download and install the new OS without any concern. Use Device Manager to Backup, and then installing the new OS using DM will wipe your phone and install the new OS from scratch, overwriting any Hybrid files on your phone. There is no need to manually wipe your phone, or start from .75, as some people like to do. It's all placebo effect.

Correct! I just "downgraded" from 148/5.0 to the Leaked .148 because of some battery life issues I encountered. The install process is the same no matter which OS you are coming from. You will be alerted that what you are installing has applications that are older than what you currently have, (5.0 files) but just confirm you want to downgrade and installation will proceed normally.

Be sure to do the Backup before starting the OS Installation. Even though DM does a backup as part of the installation, it's good to have an earlier copy in case of a failure during the process...
