Default Getting rid of sim card data on .440 on the BB 9900

Morning,

I have a Blackberry 9900 on the Vodafone UK network. The problem I have is unwanted data that seems to be stored on the sim card, things like game trials and vodafone apps. I recently shrunk .440 using the latest BBH Tools to just over 60mb getting rid of most things bar the essentials. However these game trials and vodafone apps seem to pop up time and time again, they can't be deleted and if I hide them then they pop back up again after a reboot. I know the last BBH tools had an option to compress sim card data but this option was removed in the latest version for some reason and the previous version doesn't seem to work properly with the 9900.

Any ideas? Thank you.

I don't believe that this is SIM card data per se, but rather service books being pushed to your phone by your carrier. This is why they can't be deleted. It is a marketing tactic (although a poor one in my opinion). All you can do is hide and/or move the icon to get it off your home screen. Since they're mainly shortcuts to download programs they don't burn much memory, wherever they reside.

No way you can delete / block the service books? Hiding them off the home screen doesn't work as they just reappear at reboot. Your not just talking one icon here your talking around 7.

There are only 5

You can delete service books but not block them, however they will return after a reboot.

Just create a folder, move them into it, and hide the folder... sorted.

It's what we've all had to endure from every carrier for years. AT&T has about 15 service book pushed icons. Hide 'em all and be done with it. They do not come back after a re-boot (at least I, and everyone else who does this haven't had them come back from being hidden). I hide them where they are (most on the "homescreen", some in "media") and don't bother putting them in a separate folder. You only have to deal with them again with an OS update. But how often do you do that?

Oh, and first-time theme changes sometimes brings them back, but not always.
