Did you just try pressing the Red Phone End Button? I have seen mine where it will not turn on the screen on but for some reason the Red Button makes it come back to life!

Yes - tried but no luck. I have reloaded the OS after a wipe and let's see what happens.

then i click next and it goes to update summary and says i dont need any updates at this time...wtf??

when i go to common files/rim/apploader and click the loader .exe in there itll back up everything and when it goes to the update ROM part of it after the backing up...my phone will just restart and then the loader will say ERROR....

is there a problem with the USB in parallels or something or im not understanding..?

v4.6.0.217 seems to be working very well for me. The issue I have seems to just be with TwitterBerry. Not all of those features are not working for me but I don't think it is the OSes fault.

I will try and document all of the problems I am seeing with TwitterBerry and start a new thread in the right Forum/Thread to see if anyone else is having problems with that program.

Post From .210 to .217 - answering msgs w/ BES

Hi,
yesterday, I've made an upgrade from .210 (which was mostly stable) to .217, because I thought I would maybe solve my problem. It's not. So maybe one of you have an idea.
I'm on BES. If I answer a msg, I can't send the answer - only save as a draft. The draft doesn't appear in my Exchange folder
But - if I choose "Forward" or send a new msg - no problem I can send.
Any idea on that ?
Regards...Marc
Edit:
Wow, what a stupid thing (was my fault) - I've had a Vodafone BIS and also a BES connection - this seems to gain trouble. However, it's NOT a .217 bug but a user bug

I think I'm downgrading to .216... I'm going on a trip this weekend and I'm not really keen on changing my mediaplayer volume every time a skip a song or movie. My Bold also freezes at least once a day on me.
Maybe it just me or my Bold, but .217 has been the worst OS ever since I've been updating my Bold every time a new Beta OS came out.
Let's hope the downgrade will solve my problems...

Same here, next week on the road and want the MediaPlayer functioning normally.

So, as I type this, my phone is booting up the .216 OS as I've just dumped .217. So... I'm back on .216

Downgrading back to best OS for me so far .214. Battery life on .217 seems a little worse and have been getting a lot of lag in normal operation. Hopefully will get better results with .219 or .221 whenver they come out.

Hmmmm very strange Same thing happened again this morning with nothing running...I had been running it again all week with no issues....I wonder why it lasts for a week then starts this out of the blue?

I'm on 228 now and the battery life seems much better. It was usually dead by evening on the stock os, but it's now lasting lasting overnight to about lunch the next day.

When I was on 217, it was about average battery life. I'm gonna go down to 216 since I've read it is the most stable so far. 217 and 228 have a few glitches that affected my use. 217 would reset sometimes and 228 won't run some of the 3rd party apps.

Could be the battery life is better on 228 because I couldn't run wsj reader which updated every 30mins.

In the end, I think battery life depends on employing good habits like using the phone in standy mode as much as possible and turning off wifi if 3g is working for you as it does for me.

If you must run apps and wifi all the time, then getting a bigger battery is your only option. I just don't see the stock battery holding up more that a few hours of heavy use, like when I first got the phone and couldn't put it down.
