Default fatal error during update

I tried to update os on my bold to .210 .214 and lastly just back to .167 and every time I get a fatal error message no number code or anything. The last time I tried i wiped my blackberry to the reboot software 507 screen and the update to .167 from my carrier wont even work. Any ideas why?

I tried to do that but when the app loader starts to update the connecting to rom loading screen comes up and it wont get past that and it fails.

Please... Please... Help me!

Today while I was away from my desk my device went crazy. I went to check for emails and found the original blue screen like it was reset. I opened with password and got a slew of error messages which I just backed out of and got to the home screen and found no Messenger, nor emails.

Next I got the 523 error message and came here. I found a response to attempt the reload. I did, and then I started getting the 507. I wiped it and thought it needed a fresh start. Nothing... 507. Then I got the error quoted above.

I called ATT, boo... got a few folk that decided that they needed me to start on the same page as they were reading... How to install DM and HH software... I tried to explain that I had done those things and even after verifying my software they could not get past their script. Then on to RIM and the same thing.

Nothing against tier 1 and 2 folk, but when an IT person ask for a higher level for help... please transfer.

Now I really need help. I tried another suggestion from here using the CMD command to do the loader jvm and it failed with the same error above.

I really don't want a refurb as I paid for one myself. Please help me fix this if possible.

Thanks!

I dont get it ... why would anyone upgrade anything in a PC beta OS environment? Read the forums, is your best bet.. as a few, including myself discussed flawed Microsoft USB drivers inside of Windows 7 which is why you cant sucessfully upgrade your berry.

Had the 507 error on my pearl during an attempt to update the software. Tried to update 2-3 more times to no avail.

Followed the "How do I recover a dead Blackberry" post steps..
(link above, this is my first posting.. so I can't inert urls)

as previously referenced. But I continued to get the 507 error.
Had the USB plugged into a Hub on my monitor.. Apparently this was the problem. Once I plugged the phone into a direct USB port, everything worked fine. Phone successfully updated.

Good luck.
