Sorry if this is already out there but does anybody know if in the 7.1.0.267 leaked OS have free mobile hotspot? I heard different things on thos topic. I just have tried it yet and wanted to get peoples feedback on it. If it is free...what exactly is free? I'm running BB 9900 w/ leaked OS on ATT as my carrier. Any information would help. Thanks!!

By default it is an enabled feature, but wether Verizon has enabled it on the phone or lets you use it without an additional cost i'm not sure.

No... it is not free and probably never will be. It is carrier dependent and not OS dependent. There is or was a work around I believe on T-Mobile or AT&T ... I can not confirm this though.

So if I were to enable it and create a hotspot from the this leaked OS, I should expect a charge on my next bill? Also once I do use it, will it just use the data out of my plan? For example I have the 2gig data plan will it just use the data out of that? Thanks for the quick answer everybody!

You have to add the hotspot option to your account... in addition to your data plan. These are two different options.

Your plan/bill will have a fourth charge:

Minutes
Text
Data
Mobile Hotspot Data

Try to use hotpsot and you will go through a few prompts and it will activate on your account. On your first bill they will double charge you for it. They make you prepay a month in advance, after that it is the normal charge.

I know man I hope Chi does make a full recovery. I haven't heard anything lately on his condition as of late. Hope he continues to improve. I hope Tones starts touring again soon....last year in April I went to a concert of there's and man it was so sweet live. They were awesome!

You can count on never getting it free with VZW... they want every penny you own.

I've heard small positive outcomes about him... but I doubt we'll see him play again sadly.
