Dakota full specs leaked!
http://n4bb.com/5755/blackberry-bold...agon-processor
Pretty much the only news is the CPU is finally confirmed, although if you looked at the roadmap of some of the other phones (curve touch) they had the 8655 as well so it would have made sense to have the same chip family.
Not too bad, it's clocked faster than the Thunderbolt which uses the same chip but at 1ghz i believe.
And 8GB eMMC, sounds like you can finally use your entire internal memory for app installs. - 04-08-2011, 01:21 PM #3
This looks like pretty awesome.

14.4 HSPA+ is great! PLUS....5.76 HSUPA! That and the CPU was finally announced. I'm feeling more confident about this now.

The phone specs look awesome.. right now I have a Motorola Atrix (most powerful smartphone on the market - dual core) and if the specs listed in that image are actually legit, I'm dropping this Atrix in a heart beat and getting the Bold Touch.. Android is a device for entertainment and can't touch BlackBerry on communications.. I'm hoping that the specs are legit.. it's not difficult for a guy to open photoshop and whip up a fake document chart like in the image... just gotta wait until May now for a confirmation

Nothing in the specs about UMA....does it have it or not?

This is quite a key development in the leaked slides. Everything else is pretty much what we've known from the start. I can't wait! I just hope the somewhat mediocre-looking battery can take the strain. If not, I hope Seidio releases some extended batteries (still waiting for them to release any for the Torch!).
Blatant placeholder signature. - 04-15-2011, 11:38 PM #10
Based on the specs will I be able to use this device on tmobile and at&t? My concern is that I'm on tmobile currently, and if at&t does buy tmobile, I don't want to end up with a useless device. I know I can use tmobile phones on at&t network, but ill only get EDGE and not 3g. But since the hspa frquency are the same, I wouldn't be comprimising speed like it is currently, correct? I should be able to get 3g/hspa+ with this device on both network, right?

Can anyone tell me the diference between the 9810 1.2 processor, and the 9900 1,2 Single core, QC 8655? I just dont find what means this qc8655...
- 06-17-2012, 12:18 PM #18
I dont get it. Wht in specs they write 9900 = Single core, 1200 MHz, QC 8655
And write 9810 = 1200 MHz... Must be something... - 06-17-2012, 12:24 PM #19
QC is for qualcomm, its the people that made the chip (MSM8655). both phones have the same chip

is this a joke
Are these specs a joke, i mean 5.0MP 720P camera and bluetooth 2.1.... I am getting so sick of this, if RIM keeps up this motto of business not fun, they are going to FAIL. Based on these specs I will do crappy things twice as fast, hey dude look I can open emails faster than you....
I really wish my company would wake up and allow another phones on there netwrok, at this point I could care less what phone just not RIM.... As a fellow Canadian RIM needs to wake up....
