Yeah same here. I guess it's a bug? who knows.

It works for me. I just tried opening a link from Twitter for BlackBerry. Have you tried rebooting? Holding these 3 buttons simultaneously: Alt, Right-Shift, Del to reboot.

The reboot and hard reset thing have no effect here.

    Fixed (kinda) in UT.

Don't highlight the link you want to open. Just open the tweet, and click the BB menu. You will get a menu pop up with options, select "get link".

I found that with ubertwitter on 9700 with OS 6, it does actually let you click to get the link - but that you can't highlight the link when you click. Seems like a bug, but if you move the focus slightly 'off' the link text (so that the 'cursor' is somewhere in the rest of the tweet text) - then click - it seems to bring up the context menu offering to open the link, and then it proceeds to open the correct link.

Not sure what happens if there's more than one link in the tweet though, if it doesn't let you actually click on the specific link.

    Hopefully that makes sense?

I use Seesmic and its not letting me open links either. I tried the Blackberry menu, but that doesn't work when a link is highlighted.

It works indeed but not very useful when a tweet contains several links. I just figured out that the BB key doesn't work anymore when I want to send a new tweet. (I had to choose "enter key send the tweet" in the options).

Paste doesn't work in the contact book info either.
