Make sure to uninstall the original OS from your computer using windows uninstall feature.

As I said, you need to go in to control panel on your computer and find windows uninstall feature. Go in that and you should see your previous blackberry os. Delete that and reinstall the leak on your computer. Your blackberry should recognize the newer os when you connect it after the above is done.

the os 7.1 now appear on the DM but when i click update it pops upthis(This BlackBerry® Device Software upgrade includes new features and significant enhancements to the BlackBerry® solution and, as such, is only available to users with an active BlackBerry subscription. To learn more about BlackBerry® service, please visit BlackBerry - Data Plan - Upgrade Your BlackBerry Data Plan.) how can i solve this?

You need an active BIS service on your cellular account in order to upgrade. It may also mean you do not have a SIM card in the phone when updating.
If you have a backup of your apps and data, you can wipe the phone and the OS will update without a data plan. - 02-28-2012, 12:26 PM #9
you have to delete the other vendor.xml file not found in the app loader folder

You can always use the Apploader.

Don't use DM, use apploader. See the link in my signature below.

Delete the vendor file and disconnect from the internet before you launch DM. Otherwise it looks for an update on the Internet and writes another vendor file that you will never find. After struggling a year or so ago like there was no tomorrow, I now upgrade without a glitch each time.

DM will only reinstall a vendor file for carrier released OS builds, not leaked ones. You don't need to delete the vendor files on .267, or uninstall previous OS versions from your PC, or switch off your internet connection.
As others have already suggested, use Loader.exe NOT Desktop Manager. If you still get the 'you need to subscribe' message, then wipe your phone. You do NOT need a BIS plan to update your OS. - 02-29-2012, 10:17 AM #15
I agree 100% with Phill.

i can't install the os,i install the 7.1.267 then i go to the apploader file, delete the vendor file, open the apploader but when i got to the "device application selection" step the os didn't show up and it only show up the apps that i download from app world, what should i do?

Same as the OP, the Apploader does not show the OS even though properly installed. Goes straight form Screen 2 (PIN) to Screen 4 (Device Backup) as shown in this tutorial http://crackberry.com/blackberry-101...ting-system-os
What I did when I wiped the old OS with BBSAK, I just used the Desktop Manager (v6), said cannot connect to phone, clicked Update option, and the installed OS was displayed, installed without any problems. - 03-03-2012, 08:38 AM
