Default cant get new leaked os onto my phone

Ok so I got my replacement storm which is of course on .75 which blows especially because I had .99 on my other one (which I changed back before returning) but now for some reason when I plug my storm into my computer it won't let me change anything and it doesn't find an update available when I know its there. Anybody know why?

Let me give the required "Search is your friend".

Now that that's out of the way, if you still have .99 installed on your PC and DM isn't seeing it, go into c:/program files/common files/research in motion/apploader and run loader.exe.

.99 will be installed and you'll be fine. Just make sure to select all of the things that you want installed (BBM, etc.)

Did you delete the vendor.xml? As long as that's still on your PC, Desktop Manager wont recognize that you want to update your OS.

Not necessarily true. I've yet to delete the vendor.xml and DM finds the new update every time.

It's recommended that you disconnect from the Internet before running DM and connecting your Storm. Haven't had to do that yet though.

Chris, it may not necessarily be true in all cases- if anything, its at least worth trying. One answer doesnt solve all problems- thats what we're here for.

Also, just for the record, the advice you gave....well, I had an issue just the other day in which my Curve wouldnt update. I did as you suggested (not saying you suggested this to me- just that I'd done it), and for ME, it didnt work. For me, what worked was re-installing the OS to my PC.

Is there definitely no difference between leaked .75 and official?
I had no troubles changing OS with betas until I went back and tried official .75 because I was having radio problems with .103 and didn't know whether I was having same with .9x...

.65>.75leak>.83>.86>.90>.99>.103>.75official>can't get anything else to load. CrackMem won't wipe device, JL-CMDER wipes but often I get app error 523 or something else fails.

If I am on Verizon, should I be deleting vendor.xml every time??

It seems to me that official 75 performs much better than leak 75 did when it came out?

With earlier changes, had disconnected from the Internet, but this forced me to have to reactivate BES password each time. Doing install while connected to domain has enabled OS upgrade without new BES password (automatically reactivates when reattached to DM after new OS loaded) Changed DM option to not look for updates, and then even went back to DM 4.5.

Yes, I am having the same troubles whether I use DM or loader.exe or loader.exe /nojvm.

Any input/suggestions would be very much appreciated, as it seems I am now stuck on .75.
