I'd like to try one of these 5.0's out but not until Facebook works. Now that I have used the new BBM it's gotta work too.

I'm downloading now as well... it would be great if it works because this would be a nice upgrade. Also I dont worry about facebook anymore since its now "illegal" in China... for some reason my AP News app stoped working as well some time ago...

Facebook does not work.....
BBM 4.6/5.0 works fine...
3G will eat battery like there is NO tomorrow, EDGE is fine...
Random resets and reboots will occur...
Call failures on 3G will occur...
Browser has tabs and is fast...
App world and all RIM IM clients do NOT work...
Battery gets extremely hot...
Sorry to crush all your hopes and dreams but I've had this for two weeks and everything outlined has been witnessed in this release.
*NOTE* This is on Rogers in Canada, I have gotten confirmation for German users that this OS seems to work flawlessly on German networks so, some of the issues I have witnessed may be due too how OS' respond differently on different carriers.Excuse me, I'm making perfect sense. You're just not keeping up.

I dont know why these type of OS beta are leaked.. if they suck why bother leaking them? seriously, give us something that is worth downloading/upgrading too.

How in the world do you guys get the browser to work? Is this something that's location based? Thanks.

Got excited about it, clicked the link to download it, in the meanwhile I've read the experiences with this OS, immediately closed the download link, I will not touch this OS at all.

A lot to go through and test out but the first thing I noticed in this build was that the applications list under options now shows the app icon, name, and version and does sub-branches for apps such as TTY support under Phone. Much cleaner looking.
Activating to my BES right now so waiting to start putting this through the ringer and see how bad the battery really is...
