BlackBerry Bold 9700 plays music while off??
My beloved Bold 9700 seems to enjoy playing music while it's off. Though I have no control of the volume, song, or even the ability to stop it. It just plays. If the song finishes, it moves on to the next one. Any ideas why??
Running 6.0.0.448. I use it with T-Mobile if it matters. - 07-27-2011, 06:50 AM #2
This happened to me once (though it wasn't "off"). Freaked me out. Turns out I had left my browser open to a web page with embedded music. Open your App Switcher and see what apps are running. Exit your browser and any music apps like Pandora, Slacker, or Media Player. Then pull your battery and see what happens.

The same thing happened to a friend. Her Curve started playing music ramdomely and no one knows why. But after a while we found out that it was TuneIn Radio. After installation the Mute-Key is set to start and stop playback auf TuneIn. So everytime you push the button TuneIn starts playing.
If you are using TuneIn go into Options and deactivate the Mute Key. - 07-29-2011, 10:15 PM

Ohh okay. I see what was wrong. It was a little glitch in 6.0.0.448. I recently upgraded my Bold to 6.0.0.600 and now I don't have that problem anymore.
By the way though, I didn't have any apps running when I turned my phone off. It would just start on it's own after I held the power button till it shut off. Weird... But cool at the same time
lol
Thanks for the input
