Default Blackberry 9800 6.0.0.498?

So my friend asked me to install a hybrid on her white unbranded 9800 that came straight from RIM. Before checking I connected it to desktop manager and it said its device version was 6.0.0.498, I then checked the about screen and it said the same thing. Looking on the internet and the forums, i cant find this app version. Any info on this one?

That one should be 499 there is no 498 for any device. I just downgrade to BBH+ VIP hybrid which has 9700 OS 6.0.0.499 full java. And all help and about screens shows 499 and Its the best OS I ever use on my Torch. 526 and 534 really sucks.

I wish I had a screenshot before I wiped . I'm 100% certain it was 6.0.0.498. No doubt about it. That's why i posted this since I've never seen this version anywhere and I was wondering how it ended up on this Torch.

I guess my question for you would be, why did you wipe it!?? Why didn't you play around with the OS?

*EDIT: Never mind. Your friend wanted you to install a different hybrid OS that came straight from RIM. I'm curious tho, what OS hybrid did she want you to install that came directly from RIM??

What meant should be the device come directly from RIM (factory unlocked/unbranded one) =))

haha i did play around with it for about a day or so, was kind of laggy. And im not saying the phone came with a hybrid, she just wanted me to install one on her phone to get rid of the lagg and such. And yes thats what i meant when i said straight from RIM, unbranded and unlocked with 6.0.0.498. An internal build maybe??

Like rroyy said, there was known to be a 499, even though it never leaked. A 486 too. Could it have been that? I don't know you obviously: are you the type that gets numbers mixed up ever?

So it's not impossible, but just surprising if true.
