Default Best Curve 8900 OS also for battery life.

Hi all ...

As said , what versions and why?

What I've tried below already ....

I'm on the current OS so far ...

v4.6.1.239 (current & BETA) - cons is poor battery life , in about 2 days (just under) it seems the battery is on its last and needs a urgent charge. Apps running are FaceBook , MiniMon , Blackberry Enterprise Messenger (a Blackberry equivalent to OCS - Office Communication Server / Service & Office Communicator is the client on the pc or handheld - think of it like Windows Messenger but that has Exchange GAL functionality)

v.4.6.1.206 (for 8900 previous & PRODUCTION) - pro's is good battery life (excess of 4 days and when not in use setting AutoLock to lock keys after 10 seconds) and also using the mute key to put the handheld into standby mode and good response from everything that runs in background as well.

v5.0.0.93 (for 8900 new version 5 OS -> NOT INSTALLED as yet) - no con's and no pro's as yet as there seem to be a multitude of applications that don't work without some major tweaking being needed to make them run comfortably.

I found I get better battery from .239 than I did with .206. And how on earth did you get 4 days battery? .239 can get 2 days. I don't see how .206 can do 4 unless the phone is in standby mode 75% of that 4 days.
