Default Alt+Enter Keyboard Lock doesn't work in 4.5.0.77?

Just installed 4.5.0.77 on my VZW 8830, and everything works great (after ringtone work-around), except for the fact that I cannot lock my keyboard with alt+enter. I know I can disable dialing from home screen and press K, but I like being able to dial from the home screen. I have deleted all language packs other than English. Is there any way to bring back the alt+enter command?

Thanks in advance!

Maybe I am stupid but it didn't work on mine when I tried it. I tried it both ways, with dialing from home screen on and off. It just opened whatever program I had highlighted on my home screen.

Not sure what the problem is then , doesn't seem to matter if you press alt and then press enter or HOLD alt and then press enter or hold them both ,dial from home enabled or disabled , all result in locking for me.

It will work if you are on the Apps screen, but if you use a today/zen theme then it wont work on your "home screen". So essentially, you will have to press Blackberry menu key and then alt+enter

You are correct, it won;t work from the main screen but like you said in the menu app screen it does. maybe this is where i was confused or nobody picked up on.... Guess this is something to stay...

I am on 4.5.0.81 and Alt-Enter by default changes the input language. When I set the latter to None, then Alt-Enter locked the keyboard just fine from the Applications Desktop screen. If I was on the Home screen (I use a Today theme) then it forces the Applications DEsktop so I then need to do a second Alt-Enter to lock..

Default Same issue

Well - I'm having the same issue. Just upgraded to 4.5 with AT&T - they finally released it! WOOT!

Thanks for the pointer about the language issue. I turned that off and now I'm at least able to lock my phone from the application menu but not on the home screen. I'm using the Zen-Today-Plus them.

If I try alt+enter it simply enters what every application is highlighted.

Bother - but glad that I can at least lock my phone from the application menu.

I had the same problem as well. Played around with it for a while and I think I found the solution (for me anyways )

Go into your menu screen and go into options.
From there scroll down the language option and click it.
Under the "Input Language Selection Shortcut" change "Alt-Enter" to "None".
Save changes.
Back all the way out to the home scree and "alt-enter" should lock your phone.

Hope this helps!
