Default 9930 .353 question on shrinking

Couple of bugs in the stock OS on verizon so I'm going to load up 353. I haven't been on BB in about a year, so trying to refresh. Just want to know if it still works the same with deleting the vendor.xml file and using shrink-a-os to remove the junk.

The stock OS runs well for the most part. The back button activating app switcher is annoying, as is the bug that locks the device when holstering on a call on bt. When I pull the phone from the holster, the phone screen comes on and I have to hit the unlock button first before I can hang up. I know I can use the button on the headset but I'm just used to hitting tthe end key.

So just ran shrink and went from 232 to 93, then removed a couple of fonts like arabic and Thai and now down to 86.16. Does that seem right that it could be shrunk down from the original 232 to 86 and still work?

So far so good. Free memory with all 3rd party apps installed is 238. I used to be obsessive over free memory.

If you look in the folder on your computer, it actually adds a folder called removed I think, or something, and places everything you shrink in there, and then when you install it doesn't install anything in that folder because the install routine is not looking for that folder.

Exactly. Creates new "Removed cod" folder in Java folder, and anything in that folder is completely skipped when loading the os.
