Already PM'd LY on this. Not sure what happened to the linky.

He did say something about his hosting bandwith limit. Might be due to that. Not sure though.

I have tried several times and it doesn't work. I check the apploader and both .132 and .148 files are there and everytime i install after shrinking the OS I still have .141 on platform .162.I am obviously doing something wrong but I don't know. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
try what I put in this post and see if that works, not necessarily the jl_cmder, but the part about uninstalling everything and starting fresh.

What files did he send the second time? Didn't get the chance to download when he IMed. Did the first beta test and gave the feedback to L.

Were these the Cod's in the second beta?
net_rim_tid_AddrBookRep.cod
net_rim_bb_call_control.cod
net_rim_bis_client_res.cod
net_rim_bis_client_resources.cod
net_rim_softtokens_options.cod

What have you noticed in performance?

Beta link back up - sorry renamed it and didnt upload a new one (got caught up in some shrink-a-os stuff)
trfnj74: Choose the second option, reason is: some of the 5.0 files have been downgraded back to .148 so that the camera and video camera work better, but you should be fine to choose that

Hey, what is the difference between the 32 bit and the 64 bit installer. How do you know which is the better/right one to install?

if you have a 64 bit OS on your computer ie. Vista 64-bit, then use the 64 bit installer. if not then use the other installer.

Hey LY, again I had issues restoring info/apps to phone during update (Auto Restore). Just hung at a certain point. Hopefully it will let me restore using the restore process. This is the same thing that happened to me with first beta attempt. Kinda of weird because this is the only times that this has ever happened.

Oh well, the phone took to the restore process so I think im good. Just weird IMHO.

32 bit and 64 bit pertain to what version of windows you have, in my case i have 64 bit vista so i use the 64 bit installer.

Lol I just updated to the version before the one now posted like an hour ago. Guess I'm updating again

The number corresponds to ur comp type I believe. My desktop runs the 64 I think and my laptop runs 32. Check with lyrid to make sure tho I'm not 100%

So far so good. Looks like the contacts/addressbook java.lang issue is non-existent. Phone took to restore so I'm super happy about that. Will get back to with findings along with meterberry logs if you wish.

Just looked at CrckUtl file pulling...wow really loading on the 5.0.0.93 files now! Hope theres another 5.0 leak for the bold here real soon!

Any known issues that you have noticed yet LY? Curious, just to see if I can confirm them, as well as replicate the known issue.
