I'm one of those previous pearl users so I religiously use close when I leave an application. Now I might have missed this on some past version but noticed that with .97 using the back button (right of trackball) now acctaully closes applications. Sorry if I missed this but really like that RIM added this to help keep memory from draining away from forgotten open applications.

I didn't really notice that either. I'll have to check that out.

I have been using this release for a while. I still get the speaker phone issue but it doesnt seem as bad. Also I seem to get hourglassing more frequently and for longer periods of time on .97. I have also experienced a glitch where my BB just pretty much goes nuts thinking I have just received a message. The red light blinks it just keeps vibrating or playing my message indicator yet I have no message. A battery pull or soft reset is all I can do. This has happened 2-3 times.

.97 for me has been a god send. Haven't had any problems ans the speaker phone issue is not a problem. Battery pulls are like once a month. I'm always on my ë with no problems.
