Yeah, but the storm owners are more in a need for an OS update, I guess. I was nearly perfectly happy with the OS that my 8900 came with (something below .100) and no firmware update has really changed anything that I could perceive (especially none of the claims of so many people here that their battery life has again increased a little (after about 10 hours of having this new firmware installed)). Well, one exception: Since the last update really all my mp3s really show up in the media list. Before that, some were really not there...

Well updated and my 8900 is booting up now. Will give full report in 6-12 hours.
Device history: 8100 > 8320 > 9000 (brief) > 9530 (Ugh!) & 8900 > 8220 > 8120 > 8520 > 9550
> 9000 > 9700 9650
BB tech: Got a problem? Feel free to PM me. - 02-03-2009, 12:50 AM #23
Not to many people looking for the new OS because the 8900 is a very solid and reliable device. I love it. Thanks for the link I am downloading now. Let's see if this solves the one "big issue" out there with the 8900 - word wrap in the browser textbox.
