    Default 4.6.0.282 / 5 Hybrid?

Is there a version of 4.6.0.282 for the Bold with 5.0's browser?

    --Thanks.

If there is, it ain't one that's been talked about here (which almost certainly means no).

I've never seen a working hybrid for the Bold.

There is now a hybrid for this. Link is in my signature, it also contains the new BBM.

    Have fun

Hey digitalb0y, last I read, you're using the 282 with 5.0 modules for the browser.

I've been using BBCrackman's Bold Hybrid v1 for a few days now, partly because of reading digitalb0y's posts. I am very, very happy with it, it's been stable.

The browser's speed is what really attracted me to the 5.0.0.100 OS, but I couldn't get google talk to work, or install apps from blackberry's app world, so this is the best compromise for me.

How about a .247 with 5.0? How are hybrids even made?

A got a hand on it...

    Pro's:
It's damn speedy with about 45 memory free.
    2G & 3G switch works like a charm.
Signal is better than ever :q
Batterylife seems to be improved compared to 237.

    Cons:
    Viigo does not work.
Media Player scans all files again and again (after every reboot).
Generic Service Books don't work (maybe I got something wrong).

I've been using this hybrid for a day and love it! I tried 5.0 briefly but it was too buggy, the main thing I wanted was a faster browser and the 5.0 browser in this build is HEAPS faster!

I'm not 100% sure about this, but worth a try... Remove viigo from the device and re-install it from Download | Viigo

24 hours in and it's working very well for me. No major issues at all.

I did have a slight browser problem - after loading the OS I did a battery pull. Then restored my apps/backup file, which resulted in another reboot. At that point I could not get an internet browser. My "Browser" icon took me to WAP browser and there was no internet browser in the options settings, just Media Net and Hotspot Browser. Yet another battery pull and voila, the option to use Internet Browser was back.

I loaded the OS and had 55MB free. After restoring everything and 1 day of use I'm at 41MB. BBM and Browser are great.

I did this several times and nothing. I put in a service ticket to Viigo and they can't figure it out either. I guess I will try it again, worth a try. It is installed, icon there but when you click the icon it doesn't do anything, kinda locks up and have to hit the end button to get out of it.

Nothing again. What version are you guys running that has it working? This is frustrating seeing I use Viigo all the time. The OS is very stable and I like it but this might be a deal breaker. Thanks.

Realistically, is the browser speed noticeable? That is all I would use this for. I'm on .266, which has been the best for me and already have BBM5. I would be kinda pissed to go through all that to download this hybrid (first hybrid) and not even notice a difference.

BTW, can we get a .266 with BBM5 and .130 browser?

    A resounding YES!

I've found it to be a huge difference upgrading from .266

Pages render faster and scrolling through pages is MUCH smoother, I noticed the difference straight away!
