Can some 4.5 user confirm below:

Does 4.5 allow you to save( default d/l on the SD card directly) emails, sms on the SD card directly?
As far as I have seen so far, there is no such option.

The only reason AT&T has a heads up on bb is because major corporations use their services the most. It doesn't mean they're the best, just they have a bigger network. Please don't forget that you are just using your carrier for phone and network speed. That has nothing to do with the rim network which is where are the bes and bis stuff is run from.

I like it but don't like it at the same time. It's just a little unstable for my taste so I'm going back to 4.2 for now. At least I know what's in store for me.

You can format the card FAT, which is limited to 2Gb. But I don't know if the old OS will recognize the card, as it is not just a matter of card size, SDHC cards are a different hardware as well. For example on many Windows Mobile devices, a new driver needs to be installed for them to recognize any SDHC cards.

Keep in mind you will need micro, not mini.

I also checked BES 4.1.5 policy rules documentation, there is nothing there about saving email/sms to memory card as well. (usually for many features, there is a corresponding BES IT Policy rule to enable/disable it)

Thats too bad. I was hoping on that one to ditch my Nokia E series for a BB.
I have some 1 GB of mails on my Nokia . A BB still would not be capable of doing the same.

Why keep that much of data on a mobile device? Heck even my Exchange mailbox is currently less than that.

With the addition of search/retrieval of mails stored on the server, I think most BES users will be fine. But of course every user has their own needs

Yeah but I was thinking of getting the 8GB, using it as 2GB formatted until 4.5 comes. And when it does, backing up the data, reformatting to use it as an 8GB.

Just wanna make sure it would work. Thinking about getting the A-Data over the Sandisk for 2/3 of the cost.

I don't think anyone is going to post that info on this forum. I wouldn't be opposed to a pm, however...
