Default 114 Hybrid V3 Findings

A big thanks to bbcrackman! And all the bbos guys
get it here http://forums.crackberry.com/f132/bb...rid-v3-192813/

Well because it is out to the public now we'd better keep things organized.

Noticeably Quicker.
Constant signal so far.
Memory recovers faster.
Reboot about same.

Diagnostics under wireless menu locked up.

Edit: running GREAT until camera just crashed the phone... but its running great after again.

Quick way to delete sample pics while on phone:
Download then open BBFileScout
Goto System>Samples>pictures
Delete everything you don't want.

Doesn't look like it. Seems like color fix is a niche group nowadays.

Now it does not. Color has not been fixed since I believe .86 but that was very unstable. Every OS since then has not fixed the color issue. Hopefully future releases will rectify this.

it seems that the v3 doesn't include the keyboard upgrade with the new copy and paste, it's back to the old copy and paste. i wonder if we add the keyboard files from hybrid v2, would it mess anything up. what do u guys think?

It contains the same keyboard files as v2.

Talking

The entire OS seems more fluid, accel is faster and signal does seem constant. My copy/paste is the same as .113.
Loving this hybrid so far.

OK. Here we go.
Downloaded successfully and everything is working so far. Did the mandatory battery pull after install just to make sure. First impressions:
1. Browser is at warp speed. Huge improvement.
2. Orientation is quicker especially after I deleted the log files and hid "All Types".
3. Camera works much more smoothly with very little lag on the click (shutter) reaction time. Also, color seems improved.
4. Phone functions are good and signal strength is stronger from my usual locale.
5. Using Zen Theme with a custom home screen and still can't get the picture to "fit to screen" in Portrait mode no matter what settings I use. Not a big deal but a little annoying
6. Memory is up and will monitor along with battery drain and see if it holds better. Battery was not a real problem with V2 but hope to see some improvement.

All in all this appears to be the best yet. Except for me wishing for a "GO" or "SEND" button on the keyboard for e-mails and messaging, I don't see what can be improved. Big kudos to BBCrackman and cohorts for making this possible. I'm just a simple user but love my toys & like to keep current.
Again, a big thank you.
