Hello Crackberry users, I have always been a Blackberry virgin till now. Currently I have red hTC 8x Windows Phone. I have used windows mobile, ios, android, windows phone, and finally Blackberry. I know that 9900 came out in 2011 but after using all operating systems, no one offers a great qwerty keyboard (although I did use Dell Venue Pro with great form factor something Blackberry should take a reference of). while using all platforms, I was never an app ***** so lack of apps in BB7 shouldn't be that much of an issue =D I use my phone for communication and all these phones failed at this except for some Windows Mobile phones before it got retired. Windows Phone OS itself is a fantastic communication piece of an art but the devices aren't which is a shame. I just ordered the bold on ebay and I can't wait to test out the addictive qwerty keyboard I've been hearing for years!!!

I have. I bought bold 9900 as my backup device. So I wasn't ready to spend $300+ for my backup device. I initially wanted q10 but I figured bold 9900 will do the job just fine~ Besides I still think Bold is the face of Blackberry even though I have never owned any BB in the past =p

Good job. I also got the 9900 about a month ago to try it out and added a 2nd line to my carrier (needs blackberry data enabled for anything to work). Turns out I liked the keyboard, so I got the Q10 last week and like it better (I think the maps and turn-by-turn navigation is better and was a must-have for me). I still have the 9900 as on my backup line with blackberry data enabled.

Right on. But you are wrong about blackberry data plan. At least on Verizon Wireless, they no longer offer specific blackberry plan now since last April. All Blackberry data are same as regular smartphone data plans

Same for att which I have, but it needs to be configured for BIS. There aren't extra charges, but need to be configured on your data plan for the legacy BlackBerry to work.

Does the 9900 work on verizon? I thought it is only t-mobile and att in the usa.

    Solid state device!
Wp is nice but yeah, for a dependable communicator, it's a trusted bberry or an old nokia all the way. Lol
