How can I remove PTT from my 8310? Does in require a reinstall of the OS? I don't want to loose all the settings and themes I have now, but I want to get rid of it..

    Any help is appreciated.

You need to remove the following .cod's from the device:

    net_rim_bb_phone_ptt_app.cod
    KnJCDE.cod

You can do it with javaloader or you can edit the blackberry.alx in the OS installation files or you can remove them from the java folder in the OS installation files. Any of those ways will work.

Thanks for the feedback! Can those items be removed on the bb or does it have to be done from the pc?

You need to remove the following .cod's from the device:

    net_rim_bb_phone_ptt_app.cod
    KnJCDE.cod

You can do it with (a)javaloader or you can (b) edit the blackberry.alx in the OS installation files or you can (c) remove them from the java folder in the OS installation files. Any of those ways will work.
    Sorry Newbie question here:
    Could you please clarify each?
a, where do I get the Javaloader?
    b. how do I do that? where can I find this installation files?
    c. same questions as part (b)

Seems like the easiest way is part (a) but I can't find the Java loader
The one I found was JL Cmdr. but it won't allow me to type in the command

    Any help please?

    Thanks
