I got my first blackberry about a month ago. On my old phone you were able to send picture mail easily but am so confused and uncertain if I am even able to do this on my Blackberry Pearl 8130.

I have received picture mail but when I try to "Send Picture" it only gives me an option to "Send as e-mail" How do I send photos through an SMS text?

You can't send it as an SMS text you have to send it as a MMS message instead.

Blackberry messenger is not mms. Before sending your pic message, press menu button. You will see send as email, sms, and mms. Send it through mms.

Mms allows you to send multimedia as a part of the text.
