2 theme questions:
When you activate a new theme, it seems like all the icons in the world move all over the place with no rhyme or reason. That's SUPER annoying. Seems like if you want a new theme, you have to reorder all your icons just to use it. Is there any way around that?

Also - can themes be stored on memory cards?

Themes must reside in application memory to work. Themes may be archived on a media card with the use of an app like Aerize and others.

Rearranging icons is much less painful after the first several times. Every designer sets different icon placements in accordance with their thinking.
