I recently got a blackberry 8100 from my brother because he upgraded. I was looking at my friends 8100 and on his browser he has an arrow as a cursor I just have a flashing box, I want to know if this is because my software is out of date? I have 4.2.1.109 which I downloaded from the rogers.com website. Also before I installed that I wiped my blackberry. Anyone have any applications they suggest I install?

When on your browser, hit Menu and select Desktop View

Your software is new enough. Just follow skullgames advice and you will be good to go.

The arrow cursor can be enabled in the Browser by selecting the setting in:

Browser / Options / General Properties. Select Enable cursor in column view.

You have the original OS that came preinstalled on your device, but Rogers has upgraded their supported software to v4.5.0.81.
