The only thing that comes to mind is a problem with the battery. I might suggest obtaining a replacement, fully charge it, and see if that resolves the issue.
hhmmm,,, is there voltage difference in the electricity supply of the two countries?? My laptop is from US i live in India, so i had to use a convertor to adjust the voltage differences of the electric supply!!
