Hello, everyone! I'm the newest Crack addict. I just got my BB Curve (refurb - I saved $100!) last Friday as my 30th birthday present. This is my first BB ever, although I was responsible for the BBs at my previous employer, so I have a little experience with them.
I got the BB so that I could move away from my Franklin Covey paper planner to an electronic planning system. I naively thought that I would not get the data plan, since I was only going to use the calendar/task list, and manually sync it with my work computer. (I must have been smoking crack, ha!) Then I started checking out this great website and realized how awesome my BB would actually be with a data plan. So, two days ago I got my data plan, and my BB now totally rocks.
I signed up for my free @crackberry.com address, and it's forwarded to my Gmail address. I also registered for a @att.blackberry.net address. I'm not forwarding my Gmail to my BB, but I did download the Gmail app so I can view my mailbox. That is sooo cool! I downloaded Google Sync, but I seem to have some buggy issues with it. I've done two resets by removing the battery, and will try it again tonight after I wipe my BB calendar. I also downloaded Google Maps, and a trial version of ToDoMatrix. Oh, and Opera mini, too.
