My laptop has an issue with the disc drive right now which means I can't use it. My new 8220 is arriving tomorrow (my first BB) and I want to be able to set everything up. Can I download the software instead of using the disc?

I'd recommend Desktoop Manager 4.6 rather than 4.7. 4.6 is much more stable.

Ok, related question, so I'm adding it here. I tried to download the software, but whenever I try to start the set up of the file, I get a message that says, "the installation of this program has been interrupted. Your computer has not been modified." I've tried several times! Any advice?

I'm running Vista home premium. What is the compatibility mode and where do I find it?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium. I did not need to use "compatibility mode." I have Desktop Manager 4.6 installed.
