Hello all. Don't know if you'd call me a 'newbie' exactly, but it has been a long time since my last BB that I might as well be. I got my start in my current job as an IT support tech for a new device that this international pharmaceutical company was piloting. It was the BB and this was in June of '01.
So here I was with a 957 supporting the devices of 50 - 100 managers, VPs, and CxOs. Not dealing with the server side of things, mind you, just figuring out the device.
Well the 'pilot' went on for a year and a half before they shut it down. Everyone had to return them, even me. But I was now an addict! How could they do this to me! I had only 50 calls for support in that time. It had been one of the easiest devices to support that I'd ever heard of.
Well, that was in '03. The company did roll out BBs in '05, but I had a different position and was not important enough to get one. (:-(
I could not afford the data plan until last month when I saw a deal that got me a curve for free and an unlimited data plan for $30.
So I have been getting my BB fix for just over a week now w/ my new curve! It has been a long 5+ yrs, but I'm getting my 'fix' again!
Thans to all of your post here on Crackberry for helping me make decisions on the model, accessories, software... It has been extremely helpful!
